The Hot Air Balloon Festival Philippines is finally back on its 23rd year and will happen on March! This year’s theme is “Flying Carnival 2020: A Weekend of Almost Everything That Flies.” Many people are now looking forward to the comeback of this huge event.
This longest-running aviation event in Asia started in 1996 so this is supposed to be the 24th year but it was canceled last year “due to the lack of commitment of government partners” according to the event’s organizers.
Now it is back and has a new location! In the previous years, the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta was always held at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga. But this year, it will be in Carmona, Cavite.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival Philippines events will start at 5:30 am but the gates will already be open by 4:30 am. Make sure to catch the Night Glow at 6:30 pm and enjoy the different views and activities until the Fiesta grounds close at 9:30 pm.
You can watch the sunrise and sunset as balloons of all shapes and sizes fly in the air. You can also ride a hot air balloon, defy your fears and try tandem paragliding, attend a seminar in aviation, and eat and shop at the bazaar. And at the end of the day, fireworks are set to cap off.
