We all need a drink once in a while whether it’s for a good reason or bad! Good thing, there are tons of bars and lounges around the metro so Manila nightlife does not disappoint.
However, not all of them offer a combination of quality drinks, well-crafted interiors, and the right vibe for whatever mood you’re in. So, we’ll help you filter out the noise to find the best bars in the city.
In no particular order, we’ve rounded up the late-night spots you should definitely hit up!

At the end of P. Guanzon street in Poblacion, Makati is where you’ll find Dulo MNL, hence the name. It’s a true aesthetic cafe-slash-art hub that transforms into a bar at night with its dimly lit open space layout, filled with mismatched chairs and industrial accents that’s perfect for creative minds to meet. Try their Sake Sour for an Oriental twist on a classic drink, the Canvas which is a gin-based cocktail infused with seasonal herbs and topped with Cointreau foam, or the Jagerita if you’re feeling a bit adventurous. Dulo MNL is one of the best Manila night spots to visit!

You don’t need to hop on a plane to party the New York style! Just in Kalayaan Avenue, you can already take a quick trip to New York by exploring the three Big Apple-themed floors of NoKal. Have your first drink at the subway-tiled and diner-inspired first floor then head up to the neon-lit speakeasy lounge to continue your deep conversations, and finally climb up to the beer garden-esque third floor for shots you’ll be needing when you toast to friendship, promotion, and maybe a few bad decisions.

With their island-inspired interiors, you’ll definitely feel like you’re on a beach holiday. Every corner is very Instagrammable!
Address: 5658 Jacobo Street, Corner Don Pedro, Makati City
Photos from Polilya
A veteran in the Manila nightlife scene, Polilya still makes it on this list because it remains to be a hotspot for good food and made-even-better curated drinks. Because of its popularity, Polilya tends to get crowded especially on a weekend. Its exquisite interior gives a lot of feelings to its visitors— the chandelier made of bottles fits right into the stylish but fun vibe, the couches are so comfortable that you’d be tempted to take a nap on, and the tropical decor can’t help but put you at ease. Still, there’s something edgy about this place, and behind the bar, a neon purple light catches everyone’s attention as it will put you into a bit of (life) crisis asking you “Have you figured out what you want yet?” But if what you’re looking for is a well-crafted drink then the answer is a resounding “Yes!”
