One of the most awaited events of the year across the world is the Miss Universe pageant where each country sends its own candidate to represent its nation.
According to Hollywood Reporter, nearly 500 million people worldwide watch the live airing show. That’s a different number from the stadium full of audience members witnessing the events in person.
Established in 1952, the Miss Universe beauty pageant has come a long way but its character and mission have remained the same: Finding the most beautiful woman in the entire universe.
The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) is a global, inclusive organization that celebrates women of all cultures and backgrounds. It aims to empower them to realize their goals through experiences that build self-confidence and create opportunities for success.
MUO prioritizes the importance of being involved and giving back through a dedicated international platform of charitable partnerships. With that being said, the Miss Universe 2021 winner is expected to be a role model to affect positive change through volunteering, fundraising, and advocacy.

Harnaaz Sandhu of India has been crowned Miss Universe 2021, besting 79 other candidates. She is now the third Miss Universe titleholder from India.
In the final round of the competition, host Steve Harvey asked Miss India, Miss South Africa, and Miss Paraguay the same question, “What advice would you give young women who are watching on how to deal with the pressures they face today?”
Miss India Harnaaz Sandhu
“I think the biggest pressure the youth today is facing is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique and that what makes you beautiful, stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk more important things that’s happening worldwide. I think this is what you need to understand. Come out and speak for yourself because you are the leader of your life, you are the voice of your own. I believed in myself, and that’s why I’m standing here today.”
